The 2VR is a unique, minimalist take on the classic, bulky boxy Cardboard design, with some innovative features to get around the problems of previous minimalist designs.

The 2VR is the result of a crowdfunding campaign, just as with so many other mobile HMDs on the market. However, what 2VR did here is really a unique take on the mobile HMD.
One of the big issues with the first generation of (mostly) Google Cardboard clones is that they are too big and bulky to take with you on a plane or a bus. We’ve seen a couple of really cool attempts at making lightweight and portable HMD holders and cases.
The 2VR’s main trick is that it does this while also allowing you to work hands-free. You see, the bulky headsets at least come with a head strap. With the 2VR it holds onto the sides of your head snugly and hooks over the ears. It may seem like the weight of a 6” would tip it over, but users assure us that the 2VR will stay on with normal use.
It probably won’t do too well if you whip your head around, but it’s a really innovative design. Another clever feature is the 2VR fabric. Other minimalist HMDs sometimes suffer a little bit because they don’t block out external light. Most of the time this isn’t an issue, but in case it is you can pull the 2VR fabric over the HMD to achieve that effect. It also doubles as a pouch and lens cleaner, which is very elegant.
Stimuli says that the 34mm lenses provides “great” field of view, but not exactly what that FoV is.
