Virtual Reality Games for Adults

We often think of virtual reality games for teenagers and young people in general but there are plenty of adults who enjoy these types of games.

Virtual worlds such as Second Life and Kaneva enable you to play games within a virtual world. But there are others which include:

  • RuneScape
  • Cybertown
  • Entropia Universe
  • Meez
  • Outerworlds
  • Web City Office Towers 3D World

These are just a few of the many virtual worlds available to adults (and in many cases, teenagers as well).

The question is what is most likely to appeal to adults? We can take a guess and come up with sports, fantasy role playing, socialising and, ahem, ‘adult themes’.

But there are plenty of VR games which even though they are directed at adults do not have an ‘adult theme’. Sites such as www.Games68.com have a set of the most popular VR games designed for adults. These include sports, humour, fun, the workplace etc.

Adults have different needs as compared to young people and will want games which cater to those. If these include games with a strong sexual element then there are issues such as security and privacy. As an adult you are unlikely to want your children to gain access to an adult themed virtual reality game so there needs to be safeguards in place.
