Virtual reality games for boys
Boys tend to like the same themes whatever the type of game. This means games about shooting, driving, military battles, sport, role playing and basically anything which require lots of action, blood and gore.
This is not to say that there aren’t girls who enjoy games where they run around killing or blowing things up but it seems to be more of a male thing. If you are a guy reading this then you are probably nodding your head in agreement. And you are probably not a fan of games about fashion, shopping and chatting but there are always exceptions to the rule.
Games are often developed for the Xbox/Xbox 360, PS2/3 and Nintendo as well as PC, Mac and mobile phones. Popular computer/video games include:

- Assassin’s Creed
- Call of Duty
- Fallout
- Grand Theft Auto
- Prince of Persia
Plus various sports video games by EA Sports for example Tiger Woods PGA Tour and FIFA 12.
It is argued that there is a greater range of games which includes VR games for boys rather than girls. This may due to the fact that traditionally, more boys than girls played video and computer games. But this has changed with an increase in the number of girl game players.
This means that games manufacturers now have to meet the needs of this new target audience.
